canada-eh?

in BC: what's with a blinking solid green light?! everywhere!? ped-xing has reached an all time annoyance.

roads: in calgary they call them trails. that's what they are too. by golly, they need three lane free-ways here... and higher speed limits!

ok, today i was in the car leaving UBC campus, and i was looking through a little forest trying to see the ocean, when my eyes came across a man walking towards us who resembled adam b4 the fall... my God! my eyes scrunched up... whoa! i can't believe what i just saw... he was stark naked standing there stretching like a starfish. no joke! uhm ya, appearantly it's the only nude beach in BC... lucky me to have found it.

the fall

the fall has to be the best time of the year -- watching the leaves turn to vibrant shades of orange, red, and yellow. this is especially nice in a place that also contains evergreen trees. place all that against a brilliant blue sky... wahla beauty el natural. with the air becoming crisp and the wind picking up the scent in the air refreshes the soul.

this sky

the calgary alberta skies are the best skies i have ever seen. never fail there is something interesting happening up there. and it changes so often one can never get bored. there is quite possibly nothing more romantic than this sky at anytime of the day. the sunrise and sunsets of course are beautiful... but even smack dab in the middle of the day there is something mesmerizing about this sky. trust me.

short stuff

have you ever noticed that when a vertically challenged person tries to walk through an automatic door they often experience the embarrassment of not being detected by the sensor? they back up and approach the door again, only to retreat again without success. then in distress they look around for one of those handicap buttons. well, this happens to me all the time. but what do i do? you may ask,... well, as i approach the door, i raise my hand up in the air and give a little wave, (like i'm returning a wave from someone important just beyond the doorway. the door then swings wide open allowing for me to strut right in with the greatest of ease. (this, of course, does not give the same satisfaction when i am stared down by the door greeter at wal-mart who happens to look like he hasn't had a shower in days). i only just discovered that today.
