hi God, it's me, are You there?

When you are weak, He is powerful.

"...when we are most conscious of impotence,

God is often most powerfully present.

Don't look for greater things.

Don't look for things other than they are.

Don't set your expectations on some great vision

or on some great experience.

And don't expect anything outward,

for the God who hides Himself is at work within your life,

and He is working mightily.

Your responsibility is to cooperate with Him

by responding to His voice within -- that 'still small voice,'

that voice that seems so much a part of your own feelings

that you scarcely recognize it as a voice at all.

To that voice, registered in the deepest depths of your being,

you must say, 'Amen,'

for there , secretly and ceaselessly,

the God who hides Himself is working."

Witness Lee

2 Corinthians 12:9 & 10 (9) And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (10) Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

i spy with my lil' eye

The little albino squirrel. I saw him again! And yet again without a camera in tow. Bummer. He was prancing through the grass and in the bushes and up into the trees at the law school. He's there I tell ya, he's really there.

the albino squirrel

Here a squirrel, there a squirrel.
Up in a tree, down in the grass,
Digging a hole, speed about fast.
Here a squirrel, there a squirrel.
Admits the hundreds and thousands of other squirrels invading our campus grounds is the albino squirrel running wild. He exists! He really and truly does. I know, I know... I didn't think one really was alive on our campus [dispite the ever-existing campus albino squirrel club (no for real)... and the multiple sightings by friends of mine], but I have now seen him with my own two eyes. For really! He doesn't have the red-beady eyes that I imagined him to, and he looked a little on the ancient side as well, but white he was. Oh, and I didn't have a camera on me, and try as I may I could not catch him. so you will just have to take my word for it. The albino squirrel... is a true urban legend.

my tummy hurts

I don't know what's up with my tummy these days but it's not agreeing with me lately. I've taken the traditional Tums but to no avail. I don't know what it is. Is it something I'm eating? or not eating? Am I nervous about something I don't even know about? I donno. Yet the only thing I do know, is that "my tummy hurts!" Boo-hoo! *frown*

a girl's night out

Having BBQ is one of my favorite pastimes here in Austin. And Rudy's BBQ is where it's at, man. Here I am with my new apartmentmates for the semester. Cuties, aren't they? No need to question that. This was one of those nights that it was great to be a girl. We got a lot of our food 'free' or should I say significantly discounted? Yum! Yumm!
